چکیده

Abstract Background To our knowledge, no other studies investigated the internal consistency of Edinburgh Visual Gait Score (EVGS). The aim study was to determine reliability and construct validity EVGS in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Results A total fifty CP were enrolled study. Participants evaluated Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), Wisconsin Scale (WGS), Gillette Functional Assessment Questionnaire (Gillette FAQ), Timed Up Go Test (TUG), (Rater-A Rater-B). Slow-motion video analysis used for visual gait analysis. inter-rater reliability, consistency, analyzed. intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) score 0.947 (CI: 0.90–0.97). Inter-rater excellent (ICC>0.80). Cronbach’s alpha value 0.936, within acceptable range (0.70<α<0.95). In addition, standard error measurement (SEM 95 ) minimal detectable change (MDC scores 1.72 4.78, respectively. values (Rater-A) GMFCS, TUG, GFAQ, WGS 0.494, 0.661, −0.663, 0.611, On hand, (Rater-B) 0.492, 0.664, −0.714, 0.757, Except comparison GMFC, highly valid all correlational analyzes ( r >0.50). had moderate GMFCS both raters. Conclusion reliable valid. Internal is high, indicating a consistent structure assess CP.

Edinburgh visual gait score for use in cerebral palsy.

Complex gait analysis systems are not generally available worldwide, and no simple system of assessing gait by observation has been validated specifically for use in patients with cerebral palsy. The authors have developed a visual gait analysis score for use in cerebral palsy. Videotaped sequences of patients were recorded before and after surgery as part of a three-dimensional gait study usin...

Dynamic Balance During Gait in Children With Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy Versus Normal Children

Purpose: Cerebral Palsy (CP) can negatively affect dynamic stability in children with spastic diplegic Cerebral Palsy during walking. This condition results in a high risk of falling. There is limited evidence regarding the dynamic stability of children with Cerebral Palsy. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the dynamic stability of children with spastic diplegic Cerebral Palsy, compared to ...

Correlation among the Visual Gait Assessment Scale, Edinburgh Visual Gait Scale and Observational Gait Scale in children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy.

BACKGROUND Gait disorders are very common in children with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy (CP). In order to improve the CP children's gait and to quantify the outcomes of this intervention it becomes essential to perform an instrumented analysis before and after the intervention. OBJECTIVES To analyze the correlation among the Edinburgh Visual Gait Scale (EVGS), the Visual Gait Assessment Sc...
